I am looking at setting up a website for a friend of mine in Uganda and hence need to register a .co.ug domain

My current provider does not supply this extension and I don't recognise any of the companies that are thrown back in a google search.

Just wondering if anyone had any experience with registering African domains or knows of a reputable registrar that would.

sorry, why can't use purchase a .ug domain without the ".co" bit?

If you know of any reputable companies I can buy one from - I would be very appreciative

this company seems to do them - and I've heard of the company before - http://www.101domain.com/ug.htm

"Registrant must already have a domain with ".co.ug" extension".

Yeah - I noticed that - it's going to work out quite expensive at $60 a domain per year.
